Gales Kingscliff
Description
‘The Gales Masterplan has been developed and refined over the past 15 years by award winning NSW Urban Designers Allen Jack and Cottier (2008), Roberts Day (2016) and LFA (2019). The Masterplan balances ecological, hydrological and road network constraints and opportunities, with contemporary urban planning, to define development and conservation footprints and zonings.
The Gales Masterplan links together and completes over 200 hectares of undeveloped land between Cudgen, Chinderah and Kingscliff, carefully addressing major community concerns relating to flooding, protecting the existing environment, and building height.
It provides two major new east-west roads connecting Tweed Coast Road to the beach, and new north-south links.
Gales Masterplan retains and consolidates Environmental Conservation lands and provides unique and significant new regional urban Parklands and recreational areas. The mix of varied residential forms, retail and commerce and community assets will make Kingscliff one of the most desirable places to live and work’.
There will be opportunity for Q & A and a survey for feedback will be taken at the conclusion of the meeting.
