Business Kingscliff Community Breakfast
Free Event: ‘BBQ’ Aussie Breakfast – Sponsored by Salt Bar
The 28th February 2023 marks one year since the first devastating 2022 Northern Rivers flood.
Our community had never seen anything quite like it and, as we rebuild, Business Kingscliff wants to provide an opportunity for the people of Tweed Shire to remember and reflect on the floods and look forward to the future in our beautiful community.
On the morning of 28th February Business Kingscliff will host a free community breakfast open to anyone who wishes to attend and would be honoured if you can join us.
Confirmed guests so far include members of the Tinny Army, residents directly affected by the floods, Janelle Saffin Member for Lismore, Geoff Provest Member for Tweed, David Witherdin Chief Executive Northern Rivers Reconstruction Corporation, Dave Roptell Commander Tweed Byron LAC, Tweed SES Murwillumbah and Tweed Coast Units, Cudgen RFS.
Other invitees are listed on the attached and invitations have also been extended to The NSW Premier, members of 8/9 RAR Battalion, The NSW Cross Border Commissioner James McTavish, Business NSW and Tweed Shire Councillors.
Tweed singer songwriter Ollie Twohill will perform his new single “Washed Away” which he wrote after hearing stories from customers in the Murwillumbah bottle shop he worked at about their experience of the floods.
